Club members making their mark in competitions
Lurgan Golf Club member Niamh McSherry finished 10th in the Welsh Ladies Open Strokeplay Championship at Prestatyn Golf Club on Sunday
With a 54 hole total of -4 Niamh in addition to finishing 10th overall finished 2nd best of the Irish competitors in a field which included top players Paula Grant and Olivia Mehaffey. This is a tremendous achievement for young Niamh who continues to go from strength to strength. Well done and a safe trip home Niamh, Lurgan are very proud and looking forward to seeing you back.
Congratulations to members Dave Sutton and Steven Kelly. On Sunday they won the Ulster Scratch foursomes by three shots over their closest rivals. The event was held at Malone Golf Club with some stiff competition but the boys shot 72 and 73 over two rounds to win the event.
