Comey shines to claim captain’s day accolade at Redcastle GC

John Comey finished two points ahead of the opposition on Saturday to win John Weir’s captains day at 
Redcastle Golf Club.

With conditions improving throughout the morning and the course in excellent condition John scored an excellent 44 points to finish in first place. Paul Murray came a close second with a great score of 42 points.

Seamus McGeehan teeing off in the afternoon posted a fine 40 points for third place with Mark Wilson not only making a fashion statement with his immaculate appearance but backed it up with an excellent 39 points to take fourth place.

Willie Havlin took the gross prize with 30 gross points. Danny Moore started exceptionally well and claimed the front nine prize with 23 points and George Dunlop kept his concentration to claim the back nine prize with 22 points. Gina Porter with 19 points won the ladies’ nine hole competition.
