Curry to hostcaptain’s day

On Saturday Faughan Valley Golf Club held its annual Keith Cameron Memorial Trophy Competition with yet again a good turnout.

First place went to Nigel Downey (17) after he scored 42 points, second after a break of tie finish went to Stephen Robb (21) and third was Kevin Kelly (15), after the duo finished with 38 points.

The front nine went to Robert Mitchell after he scored 19 points and the back nine was won by junior member Graham Curry who scored 23 points.

On Sunday the monthly medal competition which was decided on a BOT between Seamus Logue (16) and Richard Godfrey (13) both with 70 gross with the 10 points going to Logue, but with Godfrey taking nine points has put him into first position in the league and with only one card to play for next month it’s all in the balance.

This Saturday see’s Robert Curry hosting his captain’s day with the draw taking place tonight (Wednesday), so please make sure you are on the time sheet to avoid disappointment, also if you are going to the presentation night please tell the club.
