Derry Vintners Golf Society
EAMON McCourt (8) took first place in Mr Bernard O'Kane's President's day for the Derry Vintners Golf Society, played at Portsalon Golf Club on Wednesday June 9.
His score was 35 points (bot), narrowly defeating Mehawl Jack (22) on 35 points. Brian Abel (22) took third place with 32 points. The best scores over the first nine holes were Bill McCann on 18 points closely followed by Lester Moore on 17 points.
The longest drive came from Pat O'Neill and Gavin Bonner was nearest the pin.
Visitor Gareth Babel scored a respectable 28 points. The outing was kindly sponsored by North West Cash and Carry. The next outing, sponsored by Nugent's, will be on July 7 at Strabane Golf Club.
