Dunmurry in Irish finals action

They then travelled to Courtown, Co. Wexford for the All Ireland Finals.

Dunmurry met St. Anne’s Golf Club, who were representing East Leinster in the semi-final and were unlucky to be beaten 2-3. Matches were keenly contested and although beaten, the ladies found the experience of playing in the finals both exciting and fun.

The squad for the finals was Ann McCullough, Joyce Hughes, Venie Briggs, Kate Cassidy, Marion McClune, Rosie Elder and Liz Johnston.

Chris Simpson was team captain. Ruth Allum and Kate Busch played in earlier rounds and contributed to the Dunmurry success.
