Taking the victory in a two-man event is nothing unusual for this deadly duo and they certainly lived up to their reputation as the most formidable pair at Roe Park.

It could have been a different story as they started poorly with a few bogeys, but their experience showed through in the end with a run of pars and birdies to post an excellent score.

Robert Godfrey and Andy Dunn took second place with a score of 49.2.

Sammy Murphy and John Robson were third, finishing with 50.8.

With the poor weather showing no signs of improving the Club Stableford on Saturday was a bit of a subdued affair with most golfers choosing to remain indoors.

However, of the hardy souls who did turnout, Willie Scott made it worth his while taking victory with a hard earned score of 29 points.

Resident PGA Professional Michael McCrudden held his annual Christmas Draw on Christmas Eve with a fantastic prize of a brand new set of the latest Ping G30 irons, woods, putter and bag.

The winner was none other than Roe Park’s Andy Dunn, a very popular character amongst the members of the club.

The Club Stableford competitions continue as usual every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
