Success in the club’s fifth Ulster final in eight years has set up a visit to Cork later this month in the All-Ireland showdown.

A run of six wins on Saturday pushed Edenmore into the final at Rockmount against City of Derry - with the pairings of Victoria Hannon/Cherry Logan and Louise Gaw/Colleen Hanna recordings wins of 6 and 4, with Gillian Murphy/Stephanie Watson called in at the 13th.

A return to Rockmount for the Intermediate Cup showpiece on Sunday featured five of the previous final’s squad.

Cherry Logan was down against her Cairndhu rival from the second hole but levelled by 17 then managed to hole a 15-foot par putt to close it at 1 up.

Gillian Murphy won the 17th by 2 and 1 thanks to consistent play.

Lady captain Louise Gaw lost out to set up a gripping finale for Colleen Hanna and the Edenmore players.

It was level by the 18th fairway and Hanna chipped her fourth shot up and two-putted - helped by her rival finding the water - on the way to success.

The players would like to thank everyone who helped to support the group over the season, especially those who travelled to Rockmount plus the men’s section and ladies’ section.
