Faughan Valley golfers complete come back

CONGRATULATIONS to Faughan Valley's Ulster Four Ball team who over turned a four one defeat at Temple Golf Club with a 5-0 win on home ground to proceed to the next round.

The Ulster Cup team have a mountain to climb going to Portstewart Golf Club with a 4-3 defeat to over turn.

While Eddie McColghan (19) who recorded a great score of 45 points with his no nonsense style reach the ball hit and move on took first place with 24 points front nine and 21 back nine.

Second place went to Raymond Curley (21) after he scored 42 points and third spot went to Syl Marshall after he scored 39 points, who had the better back nine scoring 22 points in a count back to pip three other players.

Meanwhile the Phone Plus Spring League reached a conclusion this week, with all scores counted there where no surprises Robbie Curry who lead from week two amassed a score of 148 points to take first place, in second spot was Gregory McGlinchey after he scored 146 points and in third place was Club Captain Trevor Lewers, Cecil King and John O'Neill who all finished with a total of 143.
