Foyle’s Christmas hamper

With nine cards returned in the Desmond Motors Winter League at Foyle, Team 11 of Ciaran Gillen, Ryan Gillen, Caolan McLaughlin and Scott Kennedy with an accumulated total of 583 points hold what looks like an unasailable eleven point lead over Team 18 of John McMonagle, Paddy McDaid, Martin Gallagher and Christopher McCauley.

With the tenth and last card still to count the eight teams to qualify for the final are still not indentified as the last four places are still up for grabs between eight teams and will be decided after the tenth card has been added to their scores.

In third spot at the minute is Team 25 of John Jennings, Mark Doherty, Jim McFadden and Dermott Harkin who have 562 points and Team 20 of Kieran Bradley, Martin Loughrey, Brendan Barr and Jay Lucas with 561 points are currently in fourth spot.

The Turkey competition went to Martin McEleney, while the Club’s Christmas Hamper Competition which was to be held on Sunday, fell victim to the inclement weather, has been re-scheduled for this Sunday.
