Glenn floats to the top after rain break with 23 points

The lakes on the course were filled to the brim and many large puddles formed on the fairways.
The new drainage systems did well to remove the surface water by Sunday morning when the course reopened for play. The bunkers were declared ‘ground under repair’ but the greens were in excellent condition.

There was a good entry for the Sunday Winter league as the players were just glad to get back on the course.

Glenn Walsh (13) had the best score with 23 points over the front nine holes. He got off to a great start as he left his second shot on the edge of the first green. His putt for an eagle three sat on the edge of the hole.
After a ding at the short fourth, he parred the fifth and sixth. He reached the seventh green with two massive blows and holed the putt from 30 feet across the slope for four points. After driving into the trees at the ninth, he scrambled a five to complete the front nine in 38.
John Kelso and Clive Black finished one point behind on 22 points with John being awarded second place on the last six holes.
