Godfrey posted nett 63 off 23 during consistent play that provided the main trophy and a four-shot handicap reduction.

Neal Carson put up three birdies over the first 10 holes but a difficult closing run left him runner-up but ahead of Bernard McQuillan’s nett 67 off 16.

Damien Murphy clocked birdies at the first, eighth and 10th on the way to gross success.

Paddy Meehan was the winner of the low section with a nett 68 off 11 over Mal McConville and Gavin Little.

Gareth Smyth came out on top of the middle section thanks to nett 69 off 15 - followed by Robert McVeigh - and Roy Bratchie topped the high section with nett 67 off 20.

Steven Mulvenna lifted the students’ prize on nett 67 off 11 and Arty McGlone’s hole-in-one on the 12th proved the Shot Of The Day from the 200-plus field.

A list of 51 players finished on ‘twos’.
