Golf: Victory for Mulvenna at Cairndhu

an excellent 63 saw Michael Mulvenna win the Cliff Kirkpatrick Memorial on Saturday at Cairndhu Golf Club.

He finished just one shot ahead of Bertie Rea and Anthony Hughes. Rea took second spot by virtue of a stronger back nine.

The gross prize this week went to juvenile captain Stephen Watts with a strong 67. The juvenile prize went to Fiontann Callan with a nett 69.

Club Captain Moorland Holmes’ Charity Day on Sunday in aid of The Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke Association raised £2,350. Moorland would like to thank all those who took part and all the sponsors of the event for making it a great success.
