Hamilton shines at Foyle Ladies Captain's Day

LAST Friday the sun shone, Foyle Golf course was in great condition, the array of prizes were dazzling and so was the performance of Naomi Hamilton (34) as she claimed her mother's Lady Captain's Prize with a superb 41 points.

As Lady Captain of Foyle, Anne Hamilton, hosted her Captain's Day all members and visitors alike enjoyed a wonderful day of golf, craic and fine dining.

Second was Roberta Moore (29) who scored 38 points and Monica Mohan (24) with 37 points was third, while Alison Elkin with 23 points claimed the gross award.

The front nint went to Myra Gough (18) after she scored 20 points and Ann Fulton (27) with 17 points won the back nine, Sheila McLaughlin won the Pasts Captain's Prize and Anne O'Neill (21) with 22 points won the visitors lady captain prize.

The lady guest prize was claimed by Rita O'Kane (25) after she scored 18 points, Bernie Rutherford (32) with 32 points won the non-qualifier section, longest drive was Alison Elkin, Nearest pin was Maureen McConalogue and the Putting prize went to Lorna Thompson.

In the mens section Sean Rankin with 44 points came out on top, while Matthew Donnell with 40 points was second, Jarleth Clarke with 38 points was third and Daniel Deery with 40 points won the juvenile section.
