Winner Ivan Hamilton (19) set an early target with a total of 43 points, which held up for the rest of the day.

Ivan notched 20 points on the opening nine holes, which included a ‘ding’ on the par four sixth, while the other eight holes yielded four pars and four bogeys.

The back nine produced only two pars but against that, he birdied both the 13th and 18th. He also had two double bogeys and three single bogeys for 23 points on the way home and a mighty total of 43 overall.

Second prize went to Jonathan Law who, off a handicap of three, produced 42 points from his round of three under gross.

His car contained the impressive feat of three birdie twos at three of the par three holes, while he also had birdies at the ninth and 15th.

The only dropped shots came at the sixth and 16th and a two under par front nine was added to with a one under gross back nine for equal nines of 21 points.

That was enough to push Michael Scroggie (8) into third place after he could only score 20 points on the back nine after notching 22 on the way out.

Michael’s level par opening nine included birdies at the sixth and seventh while his back nine was more up-and-down with a birdie at the 10th, five pars and three bogeys for 20 points.

Fourth nett prize was won by the previous week’s winner Stephen Ritchie (13) with a nett five under and his 41-point total came from 17 holes after a ‘ding’ on the par three fourth, 23 of those points coming on the second nine.

Adam Barr, playing off six scored 40 points from equal nines of 20, including birides at the second, 13th and 15th.

His second nine toal of 20 points was enough to pip playing partner Craig McMaster (11) who could only muster 19 points over that same stretch. A double concession at the 12th proved costly, where even a single bogey would have pushed him up to fourth place.

A new name appeared on the best gross rostrum as Paul Darragh, playing off six, played the course in level par 68 shots.

He has an excellent opening nine two under from seven straight pars followed by birdies on the eighth and ninth.

The inward trip produced another seven pars only to drop shots on the 10th and the 13th but they weren’t significant overall.

The winning pair accumulated 34 points to take the top prize around the Raceview Road course but so too did their two nearest rivals.

Joint runners-up Mary Kearney and Hilary Hendron and Yvonne Fullerton and Eileen Hudson also finished with 34 points but they were edged out courtesy of the better back nine rule.
