Heather wins Lady Captain’s Day at Edenmore

The weather for Lady Captain’s day at Edenmore was very kind from early morning.

The course was in excellent condition with beautiful blooms of coloured plants at the tee - box and all the sponsor’s boards at each hole.

Lady Captain Margaret Robinson was on hand to greet all competitors’ and guess and extended good wishes for their game and also the important Captain’s day photo’s before going out to play.

Margaret’s family and friends were all their helping to make this a very successful and enjoyable day.

Heather Patterson won a very successful Lady Captain’s prize with a solid 41 points. Heather had a birdie on the 1st and 12th and won Nearest The Pin on the 14th.

Congratulations to Caroline Watson finishing second with a score of 38 points. Caroline had a birdie at the 5th hole and played a very steady game.

Third place went to Karen Legrand playing a great game and finishing with 37 points.

Mary Falls won the 36 handicap prize with 34 points another very steady game, with Ita McElhatten winning the Non – Qualifiers 9 hole competition.

Past Captains prize went to Louise Gaw with 34 points.

Best front nine went to Sally Cushnahan with 19 points.

Best back nine went Adrienne Warne with 19 points.

The longest drive on the 5th hole went to Debbie McMaster.

Cherry Logan had a few aces to win the putting competition.

Visitor’s prizes went to Vice Captain Ann Maginess from Banbridge Golf Club with 19 points for the front nine.

Sean McElhatten with a fantastic score of 41 points for 18 holes.

The evening dinner was well attended by the ladies and visitors.

Lady Captain Margaret was pleased to thank everyone for playing today but also for your cards and good wishes and for the very generous donation for Lady Captain ‘s charity this year is the N.I. Children’s Hospice.

Captain Margaret was overwhelmed by the generosity of the sponsors who names could be seen on the sponsor boards around the course.

Heather Patterson thanked Margaret for the beautiful prizes and a very enjoyable day and thanks were given to Ryan and Catering staff, James and Green staff and Andrew and his staff in the Pro shop for all their work.

An excellent day was had by all.
