Hole in one joy for Captain King

THE Faughan Valley’s Mid Week Stableford Competition, went to 8 handicapper Paul Duffy who carded 43 points, whilst second spot was decided on a Break of Tie between 4 handicapper James Lindsay and 23 handicapper David Taylor, with James taking the honours with 22 on the back nine.

On Saturday and Sunday Faughan Valley held an Open Stableford Competition, with first spot going to Stephen McDermott with 42 points playing off 19, second spot went to one of the club’s new members 12 handicapper James McGrotty with 41 points, whilst third spot went to 18 handicapper Scott Somers.

The draw for the Doubles Competition will take place at Faughan Valley tonight (Wednesday).

And congratulations to the Club Captain Cecil King for carding A Hole in One on the third hole 217 yard Par 3, whilst competing in the Jimmy Bruen qualifier, at Omagh on Sunday. Finally the singles sheet is up on the notice board with only four spaces left.

While the ladies competition last week was won by Kathleen Cooke (26) after she scored 39 points, second Celine McIvor (36) after she finished with 38 points and Rosaleen McKinney (29) with 37 points was third.
