Jackson's Captain's Day this weekend

A very successful Open Week at Foyle came to a conclusion on Saturday with the staging of the Adairs Gas & Appliances Centre Men and Ladies Open Stableford which attracted the largest entry of the week when 150 plus competitors took to the Ballyarnett fairways.

The competitors brought the total cards taken out during the week's competitions close to 1000 and everyone at Foyle would like to extend their thanks and deep gratitude to all the sponsors for their generous support of the competitions, because without their support it would be impossible to run such a successful programme for the members and visitors.

The closing competition was again played in decent weather with the course in immaculate condition but a strong breeze made scoring difficult, with Vice Captain Kevin Dunn (12) coping best and returned a fine winning score of 39 points albeit after a break of tie with runner up Seamus Quinn (10).
