John Redpath is the top scorer in the MUSA
Lurgan is a long and testing course with numerous tree-lined fairways. Keeping out of the trees is not easy and several of the Banbridge players were caught out.
The scores once again were respectable but not spectacular.
John Redpath was best for Banbridge with 34 points. He had 21 points after nine holes and he looked all set for a score in the 40’s. It wasn’t to be.

Hide AdMerton McDowell, making his debut in the MUSA, had 32 points and so too did
P.J. Johnston and Tom Fee.
The team total of 130 points will not move Banbridge up the table but hopefully they will not drop too far down.
The other four players at Lurgan were Tony Ewbanks, Peter Hillen, Philip Strong and Sydney Pepper.
The next round is at Killymoon on Tuesday July 24.
