Despite bogeying four of the six par threes on the course, he was a clear winner by three points.

Second place went to Ryan Hamill (19) with 42 points and on a better second nine from David Mulholland.

Ryan got off to a superb start with a birdie at the opening hole and another birdie at the fifth helped him to a total of 22 points for the opening nine holes.

He added another 20 points on the second nine - which included a setback at the 15th, where he failed to score - and that was one more than Mulholland managed over the second nine.

David, off 10, was through the first nine in level par for 23 points, including back-to-back birdies at six and seven.

Two more birdies followed on the back nine at 13 and 16 but he lost out big time with a ‘ding’ at the last hole, leaving him on 19 points on the homeward journey.

Fourth nett was Roy Warwick who posted 41 points from his handicap of 19, which contained a non-score on the par three second. Against that he had a birdie on the eighth which was worth four points on its own.

Fifth nett went to Michael Smyth who played the course in 70 shots, which equated to 39 points and on a better second nine from fellow five-handicapper Paul Darragh.
