Joy wins by a country mile as ladies enjoy annual day out

As many as 52 Banbridge GC ladies travelled south on their annual outing earlier this month.

This year Greenore was the venue and all looked forward to a great day. The weather was kind, the hospitality was good but the golf was even better.

The overall winner by a country mile was Joy Gowdy. The runner up was Denise McBrien and the gross went to Mildred Hodgett.

Lady Vice Captain Ann Magennis was the runner up in Section A and the winner was Sheelagh English. Section B runner up was Kathryn Sawyers and the winner was Wendy Todd. Section C runner up was Eileen Pepper and the winner was Kate Kelly.

The first nine was won by Jacinta Rooney and the back nine was won by Vivian Faulkner. Eileen Pepper had the only two on the day.
