Firing in a round of 36 points, she knew she was in with a shout and was beaten only by visiting Malone player Maeve Toner, who took the top prize thanks to a stunning round of 40 points.

Julie at least picked up second place in a field of over 170 competitors, beating Knock’s Lynne Anderson on count-back.

In Section B, Cynthia Creanston from Kilkeel took first prize with 41 points. Lisburn member Julia Moore also picked up a prize, claiming fourth spot.

Forest Feast ensured energy levels didn’t drop during play, providing each player with a goody box full of snacks, including its new Street Food range of dried fruit, nut and seed mixes.

Commenting on her achievement of second place, Julie Robinson said: “I am delighted to have secured second place at the Forest Feast Lisburn Ladies’ Open this year. It was a wonderful day’s golf with a great atmosphere and I’m delighted to have been a part of it.”

Tim McVicker, Commercial Director, Forest Feast added: “Forest Feast has supported the Lisburn Ladies’ Open for six years running and we always look forward to being part of this special event.
