Ladies golf lessons

ASPIRING Lady golfers get their chance to take up the sport with the continuance of the exciting 'Beginners Ladies' programme at City of Derry.

The course begins on Monday, April 19 and is hosted by PGA professional Sam Smallwoods. This unique programme offers women of any age the most comprehensive introduction to golf, and is open to everyone.

Ladies are reminded that they must register before Wednesday, April 14, if they want to secure a place.

Meanwhile the City of Derry Thursday Society wish to announce that the Ted Pope Trophy will take place in Strabane Golf Club on Thursday, May 6, with Tee-off time booked for 12noon.

All members welcome and this year the Thursday Society Committee has announced that they will be subsidising the meal on the day. If interested in playing please enter your name on the sheet in the locker room or contact Eamon McCourt on (0754) 291 1590.

Members please note that winning vouchers for the past season will be deposited in their accounts in the Professional Shop.
