Accepting her prize from Lady Captain, Carol thanked all her fellow members for making her feel so welcome to the club. She thanked her playing partners, Bo Shane and Lynne Reid for their support.

Carol expressed her delight at receiving the beautiful painting and she probably echoed the thoughts of many others at her surprise on reaching the 10th hole to find a refreshing drink and homemade shortbread waiting.
