Lady Captain’s Day held

A dull and damp start did nothing to diminish the enthusiasm of the participants on Helen Shepherd’s Captain’s Day at Dunmurry Golf Club on Friday June 27.

The Lady Captain was well supported by her immediate family, husband Richard, three sons and two sisters, all taking active rolls, including photography, and manning the refreshment stand at the 9th hole.

Play commenced at 8.30am and ran smoothly throughout the day. Refreshments of sandwiches and cakes were available during the day.

In sharp contrast to the morning weather, the evening cocktail celebration was held on the veranda in beautiful sunshine, prior to commencement of the celebratory buffet meal.
