As well as being of interest to those connected to the club, it also conveys some of the rich history of the Borough of Larne around the end of the nineteenth and beginning of the twentieth century. It also contains sections of interest to genealogists.

The book’s publication has been supported by Larne Borough Council, for which the Ladies’ Branch is extremely grateful. The launch is open to the public.

On Friday, September 20, a number of International Senior Ladies, already in Northern Ireland to compete in the Irish Senior Ladies’ Open in Castlerock and the Senior Ladies British Open Amateur Championships in Portrush earlier in the month, will play at Larne. Lady Captains from the East Antrim League have been invited as guests. The President of the Ladies’ Golf Union of Great Britain and Ireland and the President of the Irish Ladies’ Golf Union will also be in attendance.

On Saturday, September 20, a Ladies and Gents Stableford for members will be held. It will be followed that evening by a black tie dinner and pize-giving.
