Leslie is new captain at Raceview

LESLIE Frew has been appointed as the new captain of Ballymena Golf Club.

At the club’s recent annual general meeting, outgoing captain Brian Dempster thanked the members for an enjoyable and successful year.

He then proposed Leslie Frew as the new captain and wished his successor a successful year ahead.

The new captain was presented with his club blazer and then proposed James Drennan as vice-captain.

Ken Herbison retains the secretary’s post while the new treasurer is Richard McCrea.

The remainder of the council is: W Adair, F Dawson, D Campbell, L Kerr, EJ Reid, M Scroggie and J Brown.
