Lightfoot claims top spot at Carrick Captain’s Day

Ken Knocker held his Captain’s Day at Carrickfergus Golf Club on Saturday. After Friday’s monsoon conditions, there was a real concern that they even might have to be postponed but the rain relented and come Saturday morning the course was in fine condition.

Over 260 members and guests competed for a wonderful array of prizes with Terry Lightfoot winning the Captain’s prize with 41 points.

Even after firing his first drive into the dreaded dam, Mark Duggan returned the same score to take second place and Colin Murphy finished in third place with 39 points.
