Lisburn Golf Club regains the Bradbury Cup

Lisburn regained the Bradbury Cup on their own course last Saturday.

Nearly one hundred competitors took part in the annual competition between Balmoral, Dunmurry, Lisburn and Malone. Balmoral competitors took the top three places: 1st Joe Kayes (5) 42 pts, 2nd Jamie Conlon (6) 37 pts, 3rd Darragh McCallim (18) 37 pts.

Stephen Stewart (9) led the Lisburn challenge with 36 pts followed by Noel Robinson (13) on 35.

With a round of 76, Lisburn’s Ryan Symington took the best gross prize followed by Chris Moulds.

With the top 16 cards to count, Lisburn finished with 505 points, two points ahead of Balmoral with Malone third ahead of Dunmurry.

Lisburn Seniors held their end of summer dinner and prize distribution last week. The chairman Albert Gregg thanked everyone for their support especially the team captains.

The Lisburn captain John Boyd presented the prizes: Winter Rose Bowl to Ken Burns, Veterans Perpetual Trophy to Jim Burns, Tom Crawford Perpetual Trophy to Albert Gregg. The evening ended with Fred Walsh being presented with a cake to celebrate his 80th birthday.
