The ladies donated a total of £366 which was presented to Gillian Thomson from Action Cancer.

Gillian thanked the ladies for their generosity and went on to explain the work of the charity and in particular the “Big Bus” which provides a breast screening service to ladies between 40-49 years and ladies over 70 years, neither of whom are covered by the NHS screening programme. It costs £80 to conduct each breast screen, so the LGC donation will fund four tests.
