Along with two colleagues, Jonathan joined Professional Andy Sullivan to take on one of the world’s most renowned courses.

The challenge was all the greater because of the strong winds and heavy rain that persisted for most the their afternoon round.

Playing off 5 from Malone Golf Club Jonathan contributed to the team winning the afternoon section of the competition.

Speaking after the event Jonathan said: “After getting over the excitement of being asked I realised I hadn’t played RDC and quickly organised a practice round.

“I was a little nervous but when I got on to the tee I had to focus on my game so the nerves disappeared which was helped greatly by Andy, who was brilliant company.”

Asked about appearances at future Pro-Am’s Jonathan said: “I think I’ll enjoy the memories of this one for a while.”
