Margaret and Lorna claim Foursomes win as Junior Cup team bag another victory

Again the ladies were blessed with beautiful sunshine last Tuesday as they paired up to play in the Irish Mail Foursomes.

The winners were Margaret Russell and Lorna McKinstry with 39 points.

The runners up were Sharon Allen with Bronagh Sands with a score of 38 points.

There were just two 2’s and so those pairs both picked up a healthy share of the spoils. Annemarie Canavan and Denise Nelson on the 10th and Helen Cocks and Wendy Todd on 18th.

Team News

All the focus now rests on the Junior Cup team captained by Fionnuala Crossey, who won their return match away to Larne.

Excellent news ladies well done!

They are the last ladies’ team left in competition as another team run came to an end of their Cup run. The Cowdy Girls lost by just one point playing away at Rockmount. Such hard luck ladies but well done on a fantastic run.
