Maria wins Lady Captain’s Day at Cairndhu GC

Mrs Eleanor McNeill hosted her Lady Captain’s Day on Friday and was fortunate that the players and guests were able to enjoy some very nice weather. A large number of ladies participated in the competition.

The winner was Maria Raven with 37 points while Sinead Robinson (36 points, BBN) took second spot. Lynn Morrow (36 points) came third with Arlene Leitch (35 points) in fourth and Angela McConkey (34 points) in fifth.

Best Gross score was recorded by Bev Moore (20 points) and the Past Captain prize went to Paula McKinstry (32 points).

Other prize winners: Council - Christine Gore (33 points); Visitor - Sharon Heggen, Larne GC (36 points); Front Nine - Gail McCluggage (21 points); Back nine - Bobby Haveron (18 points); Nearest pin (sixth) - Bev Moore; Nearest pin (13th) - Lynn Morrow; Men’s prize - Glenn Baxter (22 points); Runner-up - Nat Moore 21 points, BB3); Juvenile - Ethan Campbell, runner-up Joel Allen.

Winner Maria Raven thanked Eleanor for her hospitality and for the lovely prizes and commented on the wonderful day that everyone enjoyed.

Lady Captain Eleanor McNeill thanked each competitor and all who contributed in any way to make her day such a success. She also thanked her husband and family for their support and encouragement on the day and throughout the year.
