Massereene Golf Club hosts Girls’ British Open

The Lough Road club will play host to the Girls’ British Open Amateur Championship.

More than 100 girls will tee off in what is a truly international field.

Among the entry list are competitors from as far afield as the USA, mainland Europe and throughout the British Isles.

The competition runs from August 11-15 and it is a real feather in Massereene’s cap to be hosting such a major event.

Greenkeeping staff have been busy putting the final touches to the course to ensure that it is in immaculate condition.

The club has also enlisted the help of a number of volunteers to assist with various tasks during the tournament.
