McColgan wins Vintners outing

THE Derry Vintners golf society which took place at Ballyliffin's old course on Wednesday, April 14 and was kindly sponsored by Total Golf went to Damien McColgan after he scored 41 points.

Second spot on a point behind was Lester Moore, while on 39 points and in third place was Paul McDermott. The front nine went to Tony Toland after he scored 20 points and Ciaran McGuinness also with 20 points won the back nine.

The visitors prize went to Jack Quigley Jnr after he scored 36 points; the next out will take place on Wednesday, April 28 and will be kindly sponsored by Drinks Inc.

Meanwhile Jason McIntyre was the winner of the Fred Daly team fundraising event which took place at City of Derry on Saturday, April 10, congratulations to all the juvenile members who organised the event on the day.

While the Ted Pope Trophy for City of Derry members Thursday Society will take place in Strabane GC on Thursday, May 6; tee off from 12noon.
