McDowell win’s at Foyle

THE Foyle Friday stableford competition was won by Marc Power (25) after he scored 38 points and Colin Smyth (14) was second after a break of tie finish when he scored 37 points.

The second of the Seasons Over 50’s competitions was played on Thursday with Matt Donnell (10) taking top honours after a break of tie finish time with 36 points and the Crumley Construction monthly medal competition, which took place last Wednesday saw Michael Thompson (11) with nett 65 claim the 0-11 category, Gary Cassidy (12) nett 66 won the category 12-17 section and the category 18+ was won by Sean Rankin (20) after he scored nett 68.

Sunday’s Club Sweep was claimed after a BOT finish by John McDowell (12) after he scored 41 points, second was Darragh Glynn (20) after he too scored 41 points.

Today (Wednesday) the Holmpatrick Cup Qualifier (Pairs) takes centre stage, while the weekly Open Stableford competition is up for grabs on Friday.

The Spring Trophy sponsored by McFadden Construction will be down for decision on Saturday and members should see Notice Board for prize list; while on Sunday the Club Sweep will be staged.
