McGeady leads the way at Foyle

AFTER 33 rounds with the best 10 nett scores to count in the P & L Electrics Golfer of the Year competition at Foyle, sees Cormac McGeady still lead the way with an accumulated total of 392 points.

He’s an impressive 13 points clear of his nearest rival, as he closes in on his third consecutive Golfer of the year title.

Second is currently held by Martin Kivelehan who has scored 379 points, third is Gerald Toland who has scored 372 points and on 370 points Paul McGuigan is currently in fourth place.

Foyle Sunday Society will hold their Annual Meeting on Sunday, at 4pm in Pitchers.

All members are asked to attend where they will elect the 2013/14 Committee and get the season underway on Sunday, October 6th.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) sees the Crumley Construction Monthly Medal takes place, while on Friday the Open Stableford competition is up for grabs, Saturday sees the Rankin Machine Tool Services Stableford competition take centre stage, while the Crumley Construction monthly medal will be played for on Sunday and a Over 50’s Finals Day competition takes place on Monday, September 16th.

Meanwhile the Redcastle Ladies nine hole competition, which took place on Monday, saw Una Morrison claim first place, second was Jennie Flanagan and Suzanne McGonagal was third.

The Winter League has now started and will run from Monday to Sunday at Redcastle.

Due to weather conditions Lady Captain’s Charity Open Day had to be cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date
