More power to local golfers as Ballyearl tees it up on the range

The golf facility at Ballyearl Golf Fitness Arts has installed an additional six power tees and work is under way to improve the par 3 course, which will bring improvements to the tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and the rough.

Power tees can be found at the best practice golf facilities in the world. The six new power tees at Ballyearl make the ground floor area completely automated.

John Cosgrove, Duty Manager at Ballyearl Golf Fitness Arts, commented: “The power tees are a great way to build confidence and increase your enjoyment of the game. Other benefits we offer include our 27-bay covered and floodlit driving range with 10 right-handed bays and two double-sided tee systems. The Driving Range is over two levels and provides the opportunity for year-round play and practice whatever the weather. We offer free equipment hire and very competitive prices for the course and driving range starting from £3.80 for a small bucket of golf balls. Golf is a sport that is perfect for all skill levels and we welcome newcomers to come along and give it a go.”

The excellent nine-hole course is open to everyone with various membership options available, or simply come along to pay and play.

There are also special group rates, for example, for youth clubs. Resident PGA professional, Richard Johnston, is available for private lessons, equipment or a chat and some helpful advice.

The opening hours over winter (October - March) are Monday to Friday 9am to dusk for golf. The range is open 10am to 10pm Monday to Friday, with last sale at 9.15pm.
