Morrison claims ILGU Tankard in style

Foyle College Old Boys Association will be holding the Glover Rosebowl competition next month.

The competition will be played at Greencastle Golf Club on Wednesday, June 4 and the 1st Tee is booked from 3pm.

The cost of the event for green fee and prize fund is 22 euros. Green fee is payable to Billy McCaul before play and prize fund of 7 euros payable to Jack McFarland after play.

Meals will be available after play at own cost and a Menu must be ticked before play commences.

The competition includes three singles prizes and two teams of four prizes with the three best cards from each group to count provided there are sufficient entries.

The usual longest drive at 10th and nearest the pin at 18th are included.

Please reply by Monday 2 June to enable a time sheet to issue on Tuesday 3 June 2014.

Meanwhile Redcastle Ladies open competition on Monday, May 19, which was sponsored by CCCP Motor Factors Carrigans was claimed by Lyn McOwan (22) after she finished with 36 points.

Second was Lorna Thompson (16) after scoring 35 points and Una Morrison (19) with 34 points was third.

Front nine was claimed Monica McGettian (25) after scoring 18 points, and Margaret Haughey (32) with 16 points claimed the back nine.
