The traditional weekend Turkey Sweep Stablefords have commenced at Moyola Park Golf Club in Castledawson.

Initial results of these are: Saturday, 1st – Noel McGurk (23) 35pts (on better back nine ) ; 2nd, Anthony Donaghy (10) 35pts ; 3rd, Peter Kilpatrick (22) 34pts.

Nine players win 6 golf balls each for optional twos.Sunday – 1st,Liam Craig (8) 37pts ; 2nd,Aidan Shaw (10) 34pts (on better back nine ) ; 3rd,Hugh McGoldrick (11) 34pts.

Here, 10 members win 3 golf balls apiece for their twos entry.All the afore mentioned will get turkeys.

The ladies will play in Christmas Voucher Competitions which will run until Tuesday 4th December. This is a 9 hole event,entry being £1 per card, and you can play as often as you wish during this period.

Holes 1 to 8 and the 9th as second will be used.And, names are now being taken for the Christmas dinner, which takes place on Wednesday, 5th December.

You must sign your name and choice of menu on the sheet provided by Friday, 30th November.

Meanwhile,Lady Captain, Kitty McKenna, hopes that many will support a charity team table quiz to take place on Friday 23rd November.

In aid of “Smile Train” Cleaft Lip and Palate Surgery, donations and raffle prizes will be gratefully accepted, and these may be left in the office beforehand.

Meanwhile, a festive season Christmas dinner and dance will take place on Friday 7th December.Music will be provided by “Hot Property”,dinner will be at 8pm,and dancing till late.

The £20 cost must be paid at the bar before Sunday 2nd December.

And, a New Years Eve Dance see doors open at 8pm,dancing 9pm till late, with tickets here costing £10 each.
