With three wins now in as many weeks Conor racked up 43 points to take the victory and with it a well earned reduction in handicap.

Robert Godfrey claimed second with 37 points closely followed by Andrew Cameron on 36 points. Saturday saw the start of a busy weekend with a Club Stableford and some great prizes on offer courtesy of sponsors Michael Fuels.

Club Captain Neville Martin scored a fine 42 points to take the win as he consistently found the fairways, the greens and holed some very difficult putts. Highlight of the round was a sublime chip in from 30 yards for a birdie three at the first.

After his round Neville wasn’t confident 42 points would be enough as he said “I left a few out there.” It certainly proved close as Kieran Doherty scored a fine 41 points to take second and not far behind in third with 40 points was Gary Campbell.

Up next are the usual club competitions in conjunction with the Spring League.

Sunday also sees the start of practices for the upcoming GUI team events such as the Ulster Cup in which Roe Park will face Hilton Templepatrick.
