Olivia Mehaffey selected for Irish 
Ladies’ forthcoming trip to Scotland

Fifteen-year-old Olivia Mehaffey has been selected for the Irish Ladies Golf team.

Olivia will play in Scotland in September for the Home Internationals against Scotland, England and Wales.

A member of Tandragee and Royal County Down, she has had a brilliant year to date. Since finishing at Banbridge High in June, she has played for the GB & Ireland Vagliano U16 team against the Rest of Europe, the Irish Girls U18 team in the European Championships, the Irish Girls team in the Home Internationals and the U16 Young Masters.

Olivia has also competed in Ireland in the Ladies and Girls Close Championships where she was beaten in the semi-final by Lisa Maguire. On her way there she beat Stephanie Meadow, ranked number seven in the world and the top US college golfer last season.

In the Girls Championships, she won the prze for the best gross scores in qualifying with four under par total but was beaten by Jude McCarthy.
