The weekend competition at the Brown Trout was for the lovely ‘Claret Jug’ namely the Aghadowey Cup. Played in stableford format it was Christopher Dempsey (19) who blew away all the opposition with a brilliant round which resulted in scoring 23 points each nine!

Starting off with a double bogey Chris reeled off five three pointers in a row, with another double at the seventh he had another run of five in a row three pointers then with a blank at the 16th before recovering with a birdie at the 17th and another par at the last.

Chris had only moved up to a handicap of 19 last week but finds himself playing off 16 from now on! Three points adrift Seamus Doherty (15) also loses a shot after returning a good score of 43 points.
