Paddy’s teamrumble wayto spoils atSilverwood

It was a different type of competition at Silverwood this weekend with a team rumble the order of the day.

The format was the best stableford score on the first four holes, followed by the best three stableford scores at holes five and ten, and then the best two stableford scores on the remaining holes.

The winners with a score of 85 points were the team of Paddy McKeown, Jeff Conway, Liam Mackle, and Martin Boyle, they had 41 points on their front nine and 44 points on their back seven holes to win by two points from their nearest rivals who were, Ernie McBride, Paddy Lavery, Declan McGeown, and Billy Irvine who had 83 points, with 41 points on their front nine and 42 points on their back seven holes.

The winner of the club singles is Dessie Skelton after a 3-1 victory over Brendan Gorman.

The doubles champions are Philip Patterson and Michael McDonald after a 2-1 victory over Michael Haughian and Sean McStay.

Darragh Morgan is the winner of the junior singles matchplay following a first extra hole win over Patrick Jordan.

Members are once again remained that the AGM will be held on Sunday 8th March in the Ashburn hotel at 6.30 pm sharp.
