As it turned out the whole day was a huge success with the warm summer weather that greeted everyone, playing a big role. The greens staff were busy all week working hard up to the last moment to ensure that playing conditions were as near as perfect as they could be and it is safe to say no one was disappointed.

The catering ladies at the hot food and beverage tent were kept very busy, providing all golfers after the first nine holes an eagerly awaited snack.

The prize giving dinner held in the Ashburn Hotel later in the evening proved to be another big success with over 180 people attending.

Liam Mackle, Captain of the club, in his speech prior to prize giving thanked all those who contributed in any way to making the day such a memorable success.
