PJ leads the way in Killymoon

ROUND six of the Mid-Ulster Senior Alliance was played at Killymoon Golf Club last Tuesday.

Once again, the Banbridge team played reasonably well but not good enough to move into the top half of the league table.

P.J. Johnston was their top scorer with 37 points, a really good effort.

Dennis Lockhart and John Poots both played very steady and both finished with 34 points.

The fourth counting card came from Cecil Johnstone with 31 points.

That gave Banbridge a team total of 136 points and keeps them in joint eighth place.

The other players at Killymoon were Tony Ewbanks, John Redpath, Verdon Bond and Philip Strong.

The next round of the MUSA will be at Omagh on Thursday August 9.
