Plenty of big scores in the final round of Winter League

There was a triple tie at the top of Division One in the final round of Lisburn Golf Club’s Winter League.

Michael Allison, Trevor Murphy and Ivor McCandless all scored 23 points with Michael’s better finish giving him first place with Trevor second and Ivor third.

Ivan Arbuthnot had 23 points to win Division Two. one ahead of Bob Hope with Martin Blakely third on 21.

With 22 points Ian Shane won Division 3 on count back from Bill Hawthorne. George McMullan was third with 20.

There was a close finish in Division 1 in the overall competition. Ben Kirkwood came first with 103 points, one ahead of Noel Robinson with Philip Sanaghan third on 101.

Brian Wilkinson was a clear winner of Division 2 with 111 points. Michael Rooney and Bob Hope tied for second place on 106.

The very consistent Chris Scott won Division 3 with 104 points. Ian Shane was second on 99 and Eric Wilkinson third with 98.
