The Foyle Golf Club Brickkiln Pairs Club Champions were crowned last weekend after an epic final between the pairings of Gary McElroy and Hugh Doherty and Chris Lynch and John P. Logue, Gary and Hugh taking the coveted title at the 24th Hole.

Coming down the 18th hole Gary and Hugh held a slender one hole lead looking to close out the match but John P chipped and putted for a fine win taking the match into extra holes.

With the first five extra holes halved Hugh got an opportunity at the sixth extra hole when left with a five foot par put which he duly took giving Gary and himself the coveted title.

With two rounds remaining in the 2012 P & L Electrics Golfer of the year Cormac McGeady holds a fourteen point lead but with the 10 best scores to count over the 38 Competitions and the chasing pack in close contention it is still to close to call the top five prize winners.
