Portstewart Ladies hold AGM

Lady Captain Mary Glover presided over the meeting during which the office bearers for 2013 were elected. Lady President May Johnston, who serves a second year, congratulated Lady Captain Mary on a successful year and thanked the 2012 committee for helping to make her first year as President so enjoyable.

Lady Captain Mary Glover said she was delighted at how well her Captain’s year had gone and thanked everyone who had contributed in making her year so memorable. She concluded by presenting incoming Lady Captain Mo Giffin with her badge of office for 2013.

Incoming Captain Mo Giffin agreed that Mary had been an excellent Lady Captain and would be a hard act to follow but said she was looking forward to the challenge of being Lady Captain of such a prestigious golf club. Mo then introduced Rosie Millar as her Vice Captain for 2013 before presenting Lady Captain Mary with a memento of her year. After the business of the evening was concluded Lady Captain Mary Glover closed the meeting.
