Dunmurry hopes of landing a GUI trophy this season end in disappointment on Sunday in the semi-final of the Belfast and District Cup at Shandon Park.

Having won the home leg the previous Sunday 4-3, it proved to be not enough as Shandon won the home tie 5-2 for an 8-6 victory.

Last month at Lisburn the senior team lost in the Barton Shield semi-final by one hole to Banbridge in the Ulster semi-final, who went on to win the Final by 11 holes.

Also in August they headed to Portstewart for a Senior Cup semi-final against Moyola Park and lost 3-2 with deciding match being decided on the first tie hole. Moyola suffered the same fate in the final going down 3-2 to Warrenpoint.
