THE club stableford competition at Foyle Golf Club on Saturday was claimed by Declan McKinney (15) after he scored 40 points.

Second spot after a break of tie finish went to Mark McMenamin (20) after he finished with 39 points and Anthony Jackson (19) was third after he too scored 39 points. The CSS was 36 points.

The Foyle Friday Open Stableford competition was won by 17 handicapper Paul Turner after he finished with 45 points.

Second was Eoghan Ball (17) after finishing with 41 points and on 40 points was 18 handicapper James McCallion who secured third place. The CSS was 37 points.

The club stableford competition last Wednesday was won after a BOT finish by Richard McRory (7) after he scored 41 points and Joe Doran (13) also scored 41 points and was second. The CSS was 37 points.

Foyle Golf Club President Mr Rob Gallagher invites all Club Members to play for his Presidents Prize on Saturday, June 9 and all members taking part are asked to enter their names on the sheet provided in the shop on or before Monday, June 4 when the draw for playing partners will take place.

While a prize presentation for the following competitions will take place in the Club House tomorrow (Thursday) at 8.30pm and all prize winners listed are asked to attend or send a deputy.

Spring Trophy - Ruari O’Connor, David McGarrigle, Gary McEvoy Jun, Peter Roddy, Shaun Mooney and Seamus McChrystal.

While today (Wednesday) the Open Stableford competition sponsored by Jefferson Builders takes centre stage, on Friday another Open Stableford competition is down for decision and on Saturday the Darren Clarke Perpetual Trophy Qualifier will be staged.
